we swapped luggages by the way. I could never pack a week's clothes into a sling sheesh. see the luggage Ian's holding? that's mine.

that's me trying to work the loose fitting straight cut haha

Danga Bay in the evening. the place's pretty dead during the day. renovation works are still ongoing. But there's a flea market at night! :) and places to drink and hang out.

these too are for rent only at night?

Malay sambal clams for supper. yum.

ice kacang with chocolate heh-heh.

Ian's 4th aunt's birthday ;) she cooked dinner for us the first 2 nights we were there.

Supper & dessert at George & Dragon!

their desserts (choc fudge and ice cream for me in particular) are to die for!

and so we went there for dessert (intending it for supper) for 3 consecutive nights. oh, my pockets T__T

on the day we went to the city we visited this quaint little cafe called Roost.

it has a vintage retro feel to the deco and I absolutely fell in love with the place!

They had rows and rows of polaroid pictures of customers pasted on the wall as you climb up the stairs. They had little knick-knacks here and there, some of their tables are pasted with rulers (as in the stationery ruler) of different lengths, some are decorated with mosaic tiles :) They had vinyl chairs as well!

their drinks are served in small plastic buckets haha

see the box of a TV beneath the old suitcases? their menu is written on the TV screen :)

According to Ian most of the stuff you find in the cafe are for sale.

there's a first aid box on the bike!

On the first floor, there's also a shop selling vintage clothes, vintage handbags, as well as accessories ranging from polaroid cameras to quirky spectacle frames!

LoL! Wei rocking the retro look

On the 2nd consecutive night we went back to George & Dragon, the waiter greeted me: 'Long time no see!'  :P

the interior

we met Ian's old friend,
Ee Wuen as well :)

On our second last day in Johor, Ian's dad brought us around. We took a half an hour drive to Pekan Nanas for bak kut teh, and later went to Tanjung Piai where we visited the National Park.

Sesame Street I only know cookie monster and elmo haha *shy

we walked alllll the way down to the jetty

and it was here that I started receiving messages welcoming me to Indonesia, as well as the roaming charges etc -__-"

and we made it to the southern most tip of Mainland Asia! heeh. a feat indeed XD

the host and I
